Netflix has recently released the comedy series Chicken Nugget, based on Park Ji Dok’s webtoon “Fried Chicken.”



The series follows Choi Min Ah, who accidentally transforms into a chicken nugget. Her father, Choi Sun Man, and intern, Go Baek Jung, try to restore her to human form. The series stars Kim Yoo Jung, known for her roles in Moon Embracing the Sun, Backstreet Rookie, and My Demon.

Additionally, the series includes Ryu Seung Ryong, who is known for his role in the zombie horror series Kingdom and the award-winning tearjerking film Miracle in Cell No. 7.


Queen of Tears

Premiering on March 9, 2024, Queen of Tears has started captivating Kdrama fans.

Dive into the new romantic series that explores the crisis and rekindling of love between two individuals from different worlds. Hong Hae-in, the third-generation chaebol, and queen of a department store under Queens Group, meets Baek Hyun-woo. Baek Hyun-woo is the prince of a supermarket in Yongdu-ri.

Park Shin Hye stars as Nam Ha Neul, her first lead role in a Netflix series in five years. Additionally, Park Hyung Sik who is known for his roles in series like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Suits, is set to star in the series.

A Killer Paradox

The first Netflix Korean original series of 2024, A Killer Paradox, revolves around the story of Lee Tang, who is portrayed by Choi Woo Shik. Lee Tang is an ordinary college student with modest goals and a part-time job at the neighborhood convenience store.



However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he is unexpectedly thrust into a perilous situation with potentially fatal consequences. The series also stars Son Suk Ku.

The Bequeathed

Yeon Sang-Ho, known for Hellbound and Train to Busan, wrote and directed the South Korean thriller series The Bequeathed, now streaming on Netflix.


The plot follows as Yoon Seo-Ha inherits their family gravesite after her uncle’s death and becomes involved in inauspicious incidents. Detective Choi Sung-Jun suspects the incidents are related to Yoon Seo-Ha’s gravesite. He investigates but faces an antagonistic relationship with Park Sang-Min, the chief of the detective squad.

Captivating The King

Captivating The King is a must-watch historical K-drama for fans of the genre. The story takes place during the Joseon era and revolves around Prince Jinhan, played by Jo Jung-suk, and Kang Hee-soo, a skilled baduk player portrayed by Shin Se Kyung. The strategic game of baduk becomes a political tool for Prince Jinhan as he uses it to secure the release of hostages.



Meanwhile, Kang Hee-soo, disguised as a man, enters the prince’s life with a larger agenda of seeking revenge. The show weaves a captivating narrative around their journey, making it a thrilling watch.

Squid Game 2

Squid Game ended with most main actors dying, except for protagonist Seong Gi-hun and Front Man Hwang In-ho.

Creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk will return to direct and executive produce season two, with Wi Ha Jun and Gong Yoo expected to return. Additional cast members Yang Dong-geun, Park Sung-hoon, Im Siwan, and Kang Haneul have been revealed. However, their roles remain unknown and an exact release date or a specific window remains undisclosed.

Mr. Plankton

Mr. Plankton, a new romantic comedy series from South Korea, is now streaming on Netflix. Written by Jo Yong (“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay”) and directed by Hong Jong Chan (“Juvenile Justice”), the show follows Hae Jo, a man with an empty heart and a bleak life. However, with dreams of a brighter future and Jo Jae Mi’s character offering love and support, Hae Jo’s life begins to transform.

“Trunk” is an upcoming Kdrama series on Netflix that addresses failing marriages and offers solutions. Starring Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin, the show follows the lives of music producer Han Jung Won and Noh In Ji, who runs the fixed-term marriage service company NM.

Hellbound is a South Korean Netflix Original series created and directed by Yeon Sang-Ho, based on the popular webtoon “Hell”. The show has gained great popularity in South Korea and was one of the most successful K-dramas to debut on Netflix in 2021, second only to the internationally acclaimed Squid Game franchise.



Hellbound has received widespread critical acclaim and currently holds a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, along with numerous accolades. Regretfully, there has been no formal declaration regarding the Netflix premiere date for Season 2.

The Frog

You can check out “The Frog,” an upcoming South Korean mystery thriller series coming to Netflix. The series is directed by Mo Wan Il, who also worked on the hit K-drama “The World of the Married”. Season 2 will take place in the present day, which is a stark contrast to the first season’s focus on the anarchy of 1945. Production stills reveal that Park Seo Joon will be in an antique-filled room, hinting at a major plot change.
