Celebrate OPM greatness with BE-U’s Reiko in his first performance in the Philippines in a live showcase with Patrick Quiroz, Waltz, Off to Neverland! and Ysanygo.
After rounds of showcases, festivals, and tours from BMSG events to solo TV appearances in NTV’s “Baguette” and musical performances in “SING!!! ”. REIKO is back in the Philippines for his first overseas live performance.
Straight from Japan, the Japanese-descent Filipino singer and dancer Reiko prepared a special live performance last Friday, January 26 at Balcony Music House, Makati Philippines, along with Patrick Quiroz, Waltz, Off To Neverland!, and Ysanygo.
The Japanese-based singer Reiko performed the song he had written while participating in a television audition show about the search for boy group members under BMSG. “No More” is Reiko’s pre-debut single, which had a digital release on September 1, 2023.
Though he could not place in the final cut for BE:FIRST, BMSG saw his potential and signed him as a trainee. To soon debut with BMSG’s second boy group, MAZZEL, though due to a personal unfortunate situation. BMSG ultimately decided for him to debut as a soloist instead.

His set also varied by including a cover of ZAYN and Taylor Swift’s song “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” . REIKO performed with the singer Janelle Amanda Loyola Avanzado, who’s best known as Jayda.
Patrick Quiroz performed a short set of song covers with his very own rendition of “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” a song by Green Day, “Yellow,” by Coldplay, and “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You,” a song by George Benson. Patrick revealed that he expects to release his cover around next month.
Singer-songwriter Waltz opened the night by performing his original tracks. One of the tracks is called “Ulan”, a song about the unfortunate situations of the elderly during the height of the pandemic.
Admiringly, he serenaded the crowd with a powerful acoustic guitar arrangement. Waltz even teased an unreleased song soon to be out under UMG Philippines, which is something to look forward to.
Sibling duo Ysanygo brought their genre-defying music for the whole room to enjoy, from full-on chill vibes to high-energy jamming. They performed the tracks “Horizon”, “Comfortable Silence”, and “Goodnight”.
From their self-titled debut EP, YSANYGO, they did not fail to set the standard for OPM’s modern sound.
Lastly, closing the night was the band Off To Neverland! which is one of the most promising and notably one of the best-sounding uprising bands in the scene. The band performed their singles “Call Me” and “Pag-iisa”, which is their newest release.
Closing their set, the band performed their very first released single and most streamed, “You Look So Pretty”.
The euphonious vocals are accompanied by the impressive arrangement of the instruments. It sure does make a lasting impression of what the band is all about.
