Steven Boom joins Philip Strand and Amanda Collis for “End of the High,” a dance-pop anthem exploring summer romance and whether love can last beyond it.
Acclaimed dance-pop artist Steven Boom returns with “End of the High,” an upbeat new single about a connection that changes everything. The track explores whether the excitement of a summer romance can survive when everyday life takes over. Through a dual-vocal narrative, two voices share their perspectives on falling in love and discovering whether their feelings are genuine.

Steven co-produced the track with Dutch hitmaker Maarten Vorwerk. The single also features Swedish singer-songwriter Philip Strand, whose releases with Galantis, JVKE, Cheat Codes, Armin van Buuren, and other major artists have earned him more than 500 million Spotify streams.
Dutch singer-songwriter Amanda Collis also lends her vocals and songwriting talents to the release. Her catalog includes collaborations with Fedde Le Grand, Cat Dealers, Brennan Heart, Blasterjaxx, and Klaas, alongside more than 150 million streams.
Steven creates melodic, uplifting dance-pop designed to connect with listeners beyond the dance floor. He starts each record with an idea, emotion, melody, or familiar musical reference. He then brings together carefully selected collaborators to develop that initial spark into a complete production. Throughout the process, Steven guides the creative direction and preserves the song’s central message.
From DJ Booths to a New Musical Chapter
Steven grew up in the Netherlands during a defining era for European dance music. He began DJing at a young age, progressing from school events to clubs, major parties, and summer seasons abroad. These experiences taught him how music can bring strangers together through a shared rhythm and emotion.
Although his professional career eventually took him in another direction, Steven never lost his connection to music. He continued exploring dance and pop before returning with a more deliberate approach to songwriting, production, and collaboration.
“End of the High” captures this renewed creative vision. Steven explains that the song reflects the rush of meeting someone special, followed by the uncertainty that comes when real life resumes. Working with Philip and Amanda allowed him to tell the story from both sides, bringing greater depth to the track.
The single marks an important starting point for Steven’s artist project, showcasing his commitment to emotional storytelling, uplifting melodies, and collaborative dance-pop.
