WOLF HOWL HARMONY joins KOKORO and YUGA for a fresh take on “Kokoniiru,” blending distinct voices into an emotional story of connection and perseverance.
WOLF HOWL HARMONY reimagines “ココニイル Kokoniiru” with PSYCHIC FEVER’s KOKORO KOHATSU and ONE OR EIGHT’s YUGA, bringing three distinct vocal identities together for an unexpected collaboration.
The new version transforms the emotional ballad into a meeting point for different artists. Each vocalist brings a personal interpretation to the track. Together, their voices give its themes of vulnerability, connection, and perseverance a fresh perspective.
Taku Takahashi of m-flo wrote and composed the original “ココニイル Kokoniiru.” The song first appeared as the ending theme for the TV anime Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto. Its lyrics explore the uncertainty that comes with confronting yourself. At the same time, the song holds onto the determination to keep moving forward.
For this new rendition, WOLF HOWL HARMONY, KOKORO, and YUGA do more than simply add new vocals. They reshape the emotional character of the song through their contrasting vocal colors. Their voices meet, overlap, and create new layers within the original composition.
The collaboration also connects three acts with growing international ambitions. ONE OR EIGHT has gained attention outside Japan since debuting in 2024. Meanwhile, PSYCHIC FEVER continues to expand its global reach. WOLF HOWL HARMONY has also increased its activities overseas, including its ongoing presence in Thailand.
Three Artists, One Shared Emotion
KOKORO welcomed the opportunity to work with WOLF HOWL HARMONY. He described the members as close friends and fellow vocalists he deeply respects.
He also enjoyed sharing the track with YUGA. During the recording, KOKORO focused on responding to the other singers while adding his own emotions to the performance. KOKORO shares:
I was really happy to get to sing this alongside ONE OR EIGHT’s YUGA as well. While singing, I tried to feel each other’s presence and pour my own emotions into the performance.
YUGA shared the same excitement. He had previously hoped to perform with WOLF HOWL HARMONY, making the collaboration especially meaningful. YUGA adds:
All of us sang with one shared heart. I hope the feelings we put into this song reach a lot of people.
The project will not stop with this version. Two additional renditions of “ココニイル Kokoniiru” are still coming. One will feature WOLF HOWL HARMONY with YUHI of THE JET BOY BANGERZ. The other will feature WOLF HOWL HARMONY on their own.
YUHI has already shared his thoughts about joining the project. He found the original song striking because its beauty comes from the contrast between different personalities.
He also welcomed the chance to reunite with WOLF HOWL HARMONY members RYOJI and SUZUKI. Like the other artists, YUHI plans to bring his own interpretation to the song.
Each version will therefore tell a slightly different story. The song stays the same, but every combination of voices changes how listeners experience it. For WOLF HOWL HARMONY, that creative exchange reflects the project’s deeper purpose: connection.
Member RYOJI explained that the group wanted to use the collaboration to express gratitude to the artists and fans who have supported their growth. Their expanding activities in Japan and overseas have allowed them to connect with audiences across genres, generations, and borders.
