Max Bemis will bring songs and personal stories to three intimate Solo Storyteller shows while relaunching Song Shop and teasing more Say Anything music.
Say Anything frontman Max Bemis will wrap up the summer with three special solo performances that promise more than a typical acoustic concert. Instead of simply playing songs, the acclaimed songwriter will blend live music with personal stories, creative insights, and behind-the-scenes memories. The result is a storyteller-style experience inspired by formats like MTV Storytellers and Unplugged.
The idea grew from Bemis’ recent return to his Song Shop project. What began as a short Instagram Live session quickly turned into a lengthy conversation with fans. He realized that sharing the stories behind his songs felt just as meaningful as performing them. That experience inspired him to create a live format centered on both music and conversation.
Bemis says the upcoming shows will feature songs from across his career alongside the moments that shaped them. He also hopes the intimate setting will encourage genuine interactions with fans. If the first three performances are successful, he plans to expand the concept with more dates in the future.
The Solo Storyteller tour will stop in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on August 28, Atlanta, Georgia, on August 29, and Nashville, Tennessee, on August 30.
Song Shop Returns Alongside New Creative Chapter
In addition to the live performances, Bemis has officially relaunched his long-running Song Shop. Originally introduced in 2008, the fan-focused project allows listeners to commission original songs based on their own stories, memories, and milestones.
The revived Song Shop now offers several personalized experiences. Fans can request custom-written songs, book one-on-one SongStreams through Zoom, receive personalized video messages, or arrange private performances. During SongStreams, Bemis also performs fan-requested songs and writes a new composition live during the session.
Furthermore, Bemis continues to build momentum beyond these projects. He recently signed with Civilized Artist Management and confirmed that more Say Anything music is on the way. In addition, he plans to announce more solo performances and touring news in the coming months, signaling another busy chapter for the veteran alternative rock artist.
