I Don’t Like Mondays. is back with “Groooovy,” a new theme song for the anime Black Torch.
You might know I Don’t Like Mondays. (consisted of YU, CHOJI, KENJI, and SHUKI) as the band behind One Piece’s “PAINT.” However, this time they are hunting demons with “Groooovy,” the new theme song for the anime Black Torch!

Black Torch is the adaptation of Tsuyoshi Takaki’s cult-favourite manga. It follows Jiro (a descendant of ninja) after his encounter with a legendary supernatural black cat named Rasetsu.
Each episode now closes with the song “Groooovy.” The song has a slow and smooth groove. The melody of the song built around a live band instrumental and a club-ready pulse. It carries the message that imperfection is where beauty is. Vocalist YU describes it this way:
Black Torch is a story about imperfect people who keep moving forward anyway. That felt close to the feeling we’ve always worked with, that even if you hate Mondays, Friday is coming.
