The band that took over our senti playlists is coming back to the Philippines! The Script is set to perform at SM Mall of Asia Arena on March 18 and 19, 2027.
The Script has officially announced their Man in the Arena World Tour, which is expected to begin in October of this year. Alongside the news, they also shared a fresh track from their upcoming album, The User’s Guide to Being Human, to mark the start of the band’s new era.
The Philippines was initially set for a one-day concert scheduled for March 18, 2027. However, they immediately added a second show due to overwhelming demand. As confirmed by local promoter Wilbros Live, the Manila concerts will now happen on March 18-19 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Adding to the anticipation, frontman Danny O’Donoghue recently visited the Philippines to promote their upcoming tour. One of his many schedules included a guest appearance at It’s Showtime, where he performed their hit songs, “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” and “Breakeven.”
Slated for release on August 14, The User’s Guide to Being Human will feature 11 tracks, including their pre-release single “Man in the Arena.” It follows their 2024 album Satellites, which served as the band’s outlet after the sudden passing of their guitarist, Mark Sheehan, the previous year. According to Danny, creating songs for the record was how he tried to work through his grief.
Much like their previous releases, the new album unearths a deep emotional connection to whoever listens. Danny shares, “The title is what this album is about. If you need something to remind you of the spectrum of feelings and emotions that make you feel human, this is it.”
