Singer and musical actor Lee Seok Hoon recently released his latest digital single, “우리 다정한 동화 속에 주인공이 되어 (A Fairytale for You and Me).”
There are different kinds of love we have gone through, wished for, or hoped we would never experience. While we often see them in movies, sometimes it only takes a single melody to evoke romantic emotions we can easily relate to—such as the music of Lee Seok Hoon.
Under C9 Entertainment, Korean singer Lee Seok Hoon debuted in 2008 as a member of the vocal group SG Wannabe. He began crafting his own music as a solo artist two years later. In 2010, he released his mini album “인사 (Greetings).” A man of many talents, Lee also ventured into musical theater. He played the role of Charlie in “Kinky Boots” in 2018, a role he reprised four times until 2024.
His subsequent roles have been more high-profile, including musicals such as “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.” Most recently, he starred in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical.” He has also been a vocal trainer in several K-pop survival programs, and even a radio DJ.
The Korean singer has had a successful career as a soloist, a member of a group, and musical productions. He continues to release music that resonates with fans, including his newest single, “우리 다정한 동화 속에 주인공이 되어 (A Fairytale for You and Me).”
A fairy tale kind of love
Lee Seok Hoon released his first track of 2026, “사랑이란 건 (When It’s Called Love),” last February. The song speaks of the importance of the time we spend with our loved ones. Now, Lee returns with another track that resonates even more, this time exploring a different kind of love.
Released on May 5, “우리 다정한 동화 속에 주인공이 되어 (A Fairytale for You and Me)” conveys the essence of love found in everyday interactions. From subtle glances to meaningful conversations—that gradually weave a unique “fairy tale” over time.
Lee shared that he hopes this song will become a top choice for couples’ playlist. He thought the track would fit as a wedding song or making vows to spend a lifetime together. He explained that the single is about choosing the same passage of time. It conveys making a quiet yet unwavering promise to remain by each other’s side in an everlasting relationship.
