Thee Marloes have released their new single “Through The Changes”. The song is the third preview of their upcoming sophomore album Di Hotel Malibu. It will be released on May 22 via Big Crown Records.
Furthermore, the trio continues to build anticipation for the record with a song centered on grief, memory, and the emotional bond that can remain after loss. “Through The Changes” follows singer Natassya Sianturi as she longs for conversation and companionship with someone who has passed away. Specifically, at times, she revisits memories. At other moments, she questions whether continuing to speak to them is part of healing.
In addition, Sianturi’s intimate vocal delivery gives the track much of its emotional pull. Her soft and expressive performance sits over a restrained backing arrangement, allowing the song’s themes to remain at the center.
