Alt-pop provocateur Chloe Star has released the official music video for her explosive single “Call You Back,” bringing the track’s emotional intensity into a striking visual form. The song, driven by gritty instrumentation and commanding vocals, arrives as a sharp, cathartic anthem rooted in betrayal and self-reflection.
Chloe describes “Call You Back” as inspired by a personal experience of being left for someone who closely resembled her. “It’s about how this girl left me for a guy who literally looks like me,” she explains.
On the surface, we’re the same. But the song is about the difference between looking the part and actually showing up.
The newly released video translates that emotional tension into a high-impact narrative. Blending performance-driven visuals with raw storytelling, it captures themes of heartbreak, anger, and dark humor. The concept was developed in collaboration with choreographer Ryan Ramirez, known for work with Christina Aguilera, Jessie Murph, and Jennifer Lopez, alongside stunt coordinator Nate Horowitz.
Chloe notes that the video reflects a pivotal moment in the song’s story. “It follows that moment of walking in on my girlfriend cheating and the emotional spiral that follows,” she says. “We had so much fun bringing it to life with an incredible team of creatives and stunt performers.”
Known for fusing rock energy with alt-pop experimentation, Chloe Star has quickly emerged as one of the genre’s most distinctive new voices. Born of Indigenous and Persian heritage and raised between Los Angeles and San Bernardino, her work often explores identity, visibility, and lived experience through a personal lens.
