Sentury hit No. 1 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay with “Forever,” earning their second straight chart-topper and cementing their modern R&B dominance.
Houston R&B group Sentury reaches a major milestone as their single “Forever” climbs to No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. The track replaces Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” at the top. Moreover, it marks the group’s second consecutive No. 1 following “Only Human.” With this achievement, Sentury strengthens its position as one of the most consistent forces in modern R&B radio.
“Forever” has also gained strong support across major platforms. It appears on Apple Music playlists such as Tearjerkers, Day One, and Smooth & Easy. To add, the group also performed at the Essence Festival last year. Furthermore, they continue to earn praise from outlets like Billboard, Rated R&B, and Great Day Houston.
Sentury brings together Leo, CJ, AJ, and Rico. The members first connected through church, where they sang in services and fellowship groups. They formed early musical bonds in 2011. However, the final lineup came together when CJ joined the group, completing their signature sound. After receiving approval from CJ’s family, Sentury officially took shape.
The group builds its identity on rich harmonies, live instrumentation, and classic R&B influences. Additionally, they describe their sound as “grown man R&B,” blending smooth vocals with emotional storytelling and modern production.
Sentury now holds nine Billboard-charting songs. Initially signed to a major label, the group later chose independence. Leo founded Gateway Records, giving the group full creative control. As a result, they shaped their own direction and sound.
Their 2025 single “Only Human” reimagines the Jeffrey Osborne classic. It reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart and earned praise from industry veterans. Moreover, “Forever” continues that momentum. The track celebrates enduring love, devotion, and emotional connection.
In an era of fleeting relationships, Sentury focuses on authenticity. They aim to revive and redefine R&B. They position themselves as carriers of tradition and innovators of the genre’s future.
Stream “Forever” now and watch Sentury continue their rise as they bring timeless “grown man R&B” to a new generation.
