Natalie Shay releases ATMOSPHERE, a reflective EP chronicling love, heartbreak, healing, and self-discovery through honest songwriting.
Natalie Shay has released her latest EP, ATMOSPHERE. The six-track project explores love, healing, and self-discovery. It captures both the highs and lows through her indie-pop sound. The North London-born artist said the record reflects the experiences, relationships, and lessons that have shaped her life since her last release.

A multi-award-winning graduate of BRIT School, Shay has built a reputation for writing emotionally honest songs paired with bright, feel-good production. On ATMOSPHERE, she leans further into that style. The EP is describes as a “sonic diary” that captures the excitement of new romance while also confronting the confusion and intensity that can come with unhealthy emotional attachments.
The title track, “atmosphere,” was written by Natalie Shay and longtime collaborator and close friend Kaity Rae. According to Shay, the song centers on questioning whether a connection that keeps pulling someone back is real love or simply a feeling created by circumstance. The track sets the tone for the project’s wider themes of longing, reflection, and emotional clarity.
Shay said she often marks different periods of her life through bodies of work. She highlights how important it is for ATMOSPHERE to include the memories and lessons gathered over the past few years. She added that songwriting remains a personal outlet, with each track acting as a confession. Also, something she looks forward to performing live.
Among the standout tracks is “sorry for u.” It is an indie-pop anthem built around betrayal, disappointment, and reclaiming self-worth. Shay produced the song with RNDMBEATS and Call Me Loop. The track addresses the aftermath of being let down by someone once trusted. It also reflects the decision to move on.
Shay’s growing profile includes more than 20 million streams across platforms. This includes support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, and BBC Introducing. Natalie Shay has also earned features from Rolling Stone, Billboard, CLASH, and Wonderland.

The singer has sold out Omeara, supported Shania Twain at BST Hyde Park, and performed at festivals including SXSW and Reading Festival. This April, Shay is set to headline her biggest show to date. It will be at Oslo in London, along with her first regional headline performance in Manchester.
