His story, however, starts far from the spotlight. Born in a Thai refugee camp, he fled genocide carried out by the Burmese army in Myanmar after his village was destroyed. Soon after, a camp lottery brought him to San Diego with his grandmother and her four children, where he began rebuilding his life.
Then, under the guidance of producer Chico Bennett, he refined his sound and expanded his network. Beyond music, he also shares his journey through his “Adventures of Star2” series on YouTube. Today, he stands as a key voice in Asian-American music, blending personal stories with striking visuals.
