Palmyra Delran has released her latest digital single, “Hold Tight,” on April 3, 2026. The song offers a reimagined take on the 1960s track by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich. “Hold Tight” is built around fuzzed-out guitar tones and a prominent tambourine. These are elements that define both the original track and Delran’s reinterpretation. The arrangement leans into a more textured and immediate sound, emphasizing distortion and rhythm while maintaining the recognizable hooks of the 1960s release. This approach reflects Delran’s ongoing style, which blends classic pop sensibilities with garage rock influences.

Speaking about the track, Delran noted her long-standing familiarity with the song. She describes it as something that has always been part of her musical awareness. She highlighted the guitar and tambourine as key elements, pointing to their role in shaping the track’s overall energy. The updated version retains these defining features while presenting them with a more amplified and raw production style.

The Doppel Gang provides a steady instrumental foundation throughout the single. This supports Delran’s vocals with a tight and driving rhythm section. Their performance reinforces the track’s momentum, resulting in a version that balances familiarity with reinterpretation.

Delran’s career spans several decades across the garage-pop and indie rock scenes. She first gained recognition as a founding member of The Friggs, a New York-based group known for combining punk energy with melodic pop structures. She later led The Ramdams and became part of The Coolies. They collaborated with artists including Kim Shattuck, further establishing her presence within the genre.

As a solo artist, Delran has released a range of projects, including You Are What You Absorb, continuing her focus on hook-driven songwriting and garage-inspired production. In addition to recording, she is also a radio host on SiriusXM Underground Garage, where she highlights both classic and contemporary rock music.

“Hold Tight” is now available on digital streaming platforms.
