KeNN lays it all bare on his first EP, From Miseducation, an eight-track project blending raw emotion with his signature sonic style.
The debut serves as both an introduction and a bold statement, featuring two new songs and a reworked acoustic track that reveal him at his most instinctive. Each track reflects his growth, shaped by the sounds and experiences that defined him.
At the heart of the EP, KeNN redefines the concept of “miseducation.” Raised in a culturally rich environment outside the mainstream, he embraces the idea that unconventional upbringing and diverse musical influences can create depth and meaning.
The EP’s title pays homage to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, a record central to his childhood and a guide for emotional honesty and genre fluidity in his own work.
From Euphoria to Intimacy: KeNN’s Musical Range
The EP opens with “Memai,” a shimmering, upbeat track capturing the dizzying rush of love. Arranged by Young_Vibe and MON/KU, the song balances euphoria and instability, while Takuya Setomitsu’s music video enhances the hazy, dreamlike romance.
Later, KeNN strips the production back with “sad dance,” a restrained, all-Japanese ballad full of quiet emotional weight. He closes with “One in α million (Acoustic),” highlighting his singer-songwriter roots and live performance energy.
With From Miseducation, KeNN does more than reflect on his past. He expands it, showcasing a wide musical palette from recorded tracks to stage-ready performances. The EP confirms his ability to turn personal experience into art that resonates both emotionally and sonically.

KeNN Emerges as One of Japan’s Most Exciting New Voices
KeNN grew up in a household filled with music, guided by his DJ parents. Surrounded by diverse sounds from an early age, he began his musical journey by posting cover songs on YouTube. His clear, memorable vocals and polished arrangements quickly drew attention, earning him over 40,000 followers on YouTube and TikTok.
In May 2025, KeNN made a striking debut with the single “Something Wrong.” The track landed on major Spotify playlists across 10 countries and received heavy airplay on Japan’s J-WAVE, InterFM, and HBC Radio.
