Good Kid release their debut album Can We Hang Out Sometime?, blending high-energy riffs and emotional depth, now streaming worldwide.

Toronto’s Good Kid has released their highly anticipated debut album, Can We Hang Out Sometime?. The album was recorded with GRAMMY-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Wallows, Lana Del Rey).

In addition, the album pushes the band into new sonic territory while keeping the inventive riffs and high-energy hooks that have defined their sound. Across ten tracks, the record explores the theme of connection—its importance, fragility, and the search for it amid uncertainty.

Songs like the bittersweet “Wall” and the tender “Coffee” meditate on relationships with friends, lovers, and oneself, balancing introspection with moments of raw energy. Leaning into emotional openness, the band experimented freely in the studio.

This record is the most unfiltered and uninhibited we have ever been,” they say. They layered unique sounds and irreproducible takes, from complex guitar solos to vocals pushed to the edge. Each track carries its own distinct energy, reflecting the tension between closeness and distance, and the small, quiet effort it takes to show up for others in a complicated world.

This approach has resonated with fans, helping the band amass over 800 million streams, 3.45 million monthly Spotify listeners, and a growing global audience.

Touring and live performances have cemented their rising status. Furthermore, their 2024 UK headline tour sold out within minutes, while their US run supporting two-time GRAMMY winner Laufey and European shows with Tom Odell brought them to new audiences.

Festival appearances include All Points East and Lollapalooza Germany. Entirely independent, the band empowers creators by keeping their music Content ID–free and DMCA–free, allowing tracks to be used across Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms. Additionally, Good Kid continues to push guitar-based music forward while fostering a fiercely participatory fan community.
