In Love You Teacher episode 3, which aired on March 28, Teacher Jee devises a plan to bring Solar back, putting Sun to bed early so Solar can stay awake as long as possible—he ends up going 48 hours without rest. As a result, Solar sleeps for two days and wakes up as Sun on their 7th anniversary, missing the chance to celebrate together.

Love You Teacher Episode 3 Recap: A Mission to Break the Curse
Pobmek struggles to handle Sun, the mischievous child version of Solar, while trying to understand how to care for him despite not knowing what childhood feels like. Then, Solar comes up with a plan, recording a video with Teacher Jee and Principal Sodchuen to explain their mission to break the curse and urge Sun to adjust and behave in school.
However, just as Sun starts to blend in, Pobmek takes him to the doctor, where Sun runs off. The doctor later tells Pobmek that Solar may be experiencing age regression caused by past trauma, but Pobmek reveals that Solar remembers nothing about his childhood.
As Pobmek tries to learn more from Solar’s mother, Sun causes chaos at home and even damages their treasured umbrella—the very item Pobmek once used as an excuse to get close to Solar, fetching him consistently from his class every time it rained.
The Plan to Bring Solar Back
Teacher Jee comes up with a plan to bring Solar back: keep him awake as long as possible while making Sun sleep early, hoping Solar will take over. They restrain Sun and push Solar to stay awake, but the plan backfires when Solar goes 48 hours without rest, leaving everyone exhausted.
Eventually, Pobmek catches Solar trying to take allergy medicine to make himself drowsy. Solar admits he hasn’t felt happy waking up. He also questions their approach of rushing and forcing him to get better, saying, “I might not be able to communicate with him, but I can feel that he’s not okay with this at all.”
At the same time, Solar reassures Pobmek that he loves him for being steady and never rushing. However, he says forcing his recovery isn’t the right approach. With their anniversary on Sunday, he decides to rest, hoping to wake up as himself and be with Pobmek on that special day.

Solar Wakes Up as Sun on Their 7th Anniversary in Love You Teacher Episode 3
Solar ends up sleeping for two days and wakes up as Sun on Sunday, their anniversary. Despite this, Pobmek chooses not to force anything and instead lets him play freely.
They end up missing their anniversary together. Still, Solar prepares in advance. He asks his mother to come if he doesn’t call by noon on Sunday. When she arrives, she brings his childhood toys, hoping they might help him recover. She also prepares his favorite coconut cake and shows Pobmek the video and notes Solar prepared for him.
In his message, Solar expresses his regret but also his longing, writing,
I don’t know if I’ll get better next year, but I promise I’ll make it up to you by making every day I wake up more special than this anniversary.
Before Solar’s mother leaves, Pobmek asks about Solar’s forgotten childhood. He learns that Sun’s father left him as a child and that Solar’s real name used to be Sun, which he later changed.
Later, Pobmek and Sun take care of Solar’s childhood toys and find a CD of Pobmek singing. Sun listens to it, just as Solar once did, and both get emotional. Sun eventually drifts off and wakes as Solar, giving them hope that it might help in Solar’s recovery. However, that hope is crushed when Pobmek accidentally breaks the CD while trying to open it.
With no other options, they decide to extend their 7th anniversary celebration and spend the rest of the night enjoying each other’s company.
