Stockholm garage rockers Stupidity are back with new single “Carolina” and announce their upcoming album Beyond Stupidity, set for release on June 19.
Beloved Swedish garage-punk five-piece Stupidity return with their new single “Carolina,” out March 27 via Wicked Cool Records. At the same time, they open pre-orders for their upcoming full-length Beyond Stupidity, set for release on June 19.

A high-energy burst of rhythm and attitude, “Carolina” shows the band at their best. The punchy, hook-filled track blends raw garage grit with bold soul and swagger. The band has honed this sound over the years, and now it hits with fresh urgency and focus.
Get to Know These Garage Rockers
Revitalized by a refreshed lineup in 2020, Stupidity brought back original members Tommy Boy (drums) and Erniz (lead vocals) and added JV (guitar) and Heurika (bass). During the global shutdown, they tightened their chemistry and sharpened their sound. This effort led to their acclaimed 2021 album Waking Up The Band, recorded with Keith Streng of The Fleshtones, which confirmed their spot in the modern garage-rock scene.
Since then, Stupidity has kept their momentum going, including a run of U.S. shows last fall that reinforced their reputation as a fierce live act. Longtime supporter Little Steven Van Zandt has helped boost the band’s profile, featuring eight of their songs as “Coolest Song In The World This Week” on his global Underground Garage radio show. Fan favorites include “On The Run” and “Reindeer Twist.” Their music has also appeared on Netflix’s Lilyhammer, including an on-screen performance of “King Midas.”
Riding this wave, “Carolina” opens a new chapter for the band. They keep their raw, no-frills rock ’n’ roll edge while adding fresh energy. Loud, loose, and made to move, the track proves some bands don’t fade—they only get louder.
