Elephant Kind showcase their genre-blurring alt-pop on More Time, achieving global recognition and sold-out shows while expanding their artistic reach.

Indonesian alt-pop trio Elephant Kind return with their third studio album More Time, released through Alcopop! Records. With this project, the band presents their most personal and sonically expansive work to date. The album blends genres while exploring themes of change, desire, and the search for meaning in an increasingly fast-paced world. As a result, the record reflects the group’s confidence as they move into a broader international chapter of their career.

The band developed More Time between 2023 and 2025 during a period marked by significant transition. They wrote the album across two contrasting environments, balancing the intensity of Jakarta with the reflective atmosphere of London. Through this process, Elephant Kind shaped a collection of songs that captures a defining stage in their artistic evolution. By producing and mixing the record themselves, they maintained creative control and preserved the authenticity of their ideas. The album reveals a band willing to embrace change while carrying forward the insight gained from past experiences.

Cinematic Sound That Signals Growth

The title track, “More Time,” captures Elephant Kind at their most atmospheric and experimental. The song unfolds with hypnotic late-night energy, combining ambient textures with reverb-rich vocals and reflective lyricism. Through its immersive soundscape, the trio explores a mood that feels both intimate and expansive. As a result, the track highlights the band’s willingness to push beyond familiar territory while maintaining emotional clarity.

Across the album, Elephant Kind blend alternative rock foundations with breakbeats, while pairing melancholic ballads with moments designed for cathartic release. This balance demonstrates a natural progression rather than a sudden shift. Consequently, More Time reveals a group confidently embracing its artistic identity without hesitation or limitation. The record demands attention through its fluid structure and bold sonic choices.

Vocalist and guitarist Bam Mastro led the album’s production, ensuring a cohesive vision from start to finish. Meanwhile, Iain Berryman contributed as co-producer on three tracks, including “Man Enough,” bringing additional depth to the project’s layered sound. The band recorded the material in London before completing the process in Jakarta, reflecting the geographical influences that shape their music. Robert Adam Stevenson handled mixing duties, while Christian Wright mastered the album at Abbey Road Studios in London, adding further refinement to the final result.

To celebrate the album’s arrival, Elephant Kind introduced Party of a LIVETIME, a two-part launch series in Jakarta. The first event offered an intimate listening session paired with a semi-live DJ set, giving fans an early experience of the full album. The second installment, scheduled for May, will feature a full live performance of the record alongside selected highlights from their previous releases.
