Nanno Sparks Chaos in a New School in Girl From Nowhere: The Reset Episode 3

Girl From Nowhere: The Reset episode 3 opens with Nanno discussing an invisible ruler that measures people’s worth. The scene immediately cuts to a child on his knees, being judged by a masked figure, setting a dark tone for what’s to come.

The story then moves to a new school, where a jealous student named Hongtae seethes as all the girls fawn over Jamie. Jamie runs a popular social media channel featuring his dog, Hong, which is wholesome and charming—a stark contrast to Hongtae’s own failing channel.

Nanno subtly stirs the pot, praising Jamie’s content while keeping an eye on Hongtae, whose envy quickly escalates into rage. With Jamie’s channel surpassing 200,000 followers and everyone in his life, including his mother, obsessed with him, Hongtae feels isolated and powerless.

His resentment grows when a message flashes in Jamie’s live chat, asking about taking care of a female dog. Hongtae seizes the moment, launching a cruel harassment campaign against Jamie and Hong. Another online user joins in, and soon the hashtag #BANJAMIE trends. Even banning Hongtae from the live chat only fuels the chaos, turning him into a scapegoat for others to attack.

Meanwhile, we watch the events unfold in real time: masked goons surround Jamie, revealing that he is the same boy seen at the episode’s opening, caught in a dangerous game orchestrated by envy and online obsession.

Nanno Fuels the Social Media Battle

Hongtae’s smear campaign against Jamie quickly boosts his popularity. Overnight, he gains nearly 500 followers, using his online persona Papa Meow along with several burner accounts to relentlessly target Jamie.

Unbeknownst to him, Nanno orchestrated much of this chaos. She is also part of a “rival” group that launches a counter-campaign under the hashtag #SAVEJAMIE. Watching from the sidelines, Nanno delights as students pick sides and dive into a heated online war.

The conflict becomes personal when Hongtae discovers that Jamie lied about Hong’s adoption and origin story. Feeling guilty, he deletes one of his posts—only for Nanno to intervene. She coldly tells him she’s only pretending to be Jamie’s friend and shows no real concern for him, goading him to revive the #BANJAMIE campaign instead.

As both hashtags, #BANJAMIE and #SAVEJAMIE, climb the trending charts, Nanno escalates the situation. She exposes Hongtae’s alias accounts and ultimately reveals his true identity, turning the online mob against him and leaving him isolated and humiliated.

Nanno’s Lesson in Social Media Chaos

The fallout from the online war is brutal. Students label Hongtae an attention seeker, sharing his photo and even his home address. His mother is also dragged into the harassment.

As the dust settles, Hongtae wonders why Nanno has been helping Jamie all along. In fact, she had subtly guided him from the start—she was the one who first posted the comment about Jamie’s female dog.

Nanno points out the irony: Hongtae’s hate campaign backfired. Jamie’s follower count skyrockets to 500,000 as humans naturally gravitate toward conflict, while Hongtae’s jealousy inadvertently drives more attention to Jamie’s account. Without Hongtae’s obsession, Jamie would never have gained such traction. The online “war” ends with Jamie elevated, while Hongtae becomes the sacrificial pawn.

Yet Jamie refuses to remain passive. He vows to go after Hongtae and anyone who spread the smear, filing lawsuits to make an example of them. Nanno observes the chaos with a smirk, calling Hongtae her “cutest anti-fan” before walking away, leaving the lesson—and the consequences—crystal clear.
