“no cap” is an unapologetic track that blends chaos with melody. With its expansive guitar riffs, the energy bursts at just the right time in the opening. Intense yet freeing, the song feels like the moment you finally let go after keeping something in for so long.
According to the band, it expresses their frustration over the prevalence of noise in today’s society. People always have so much to say that they end up shouting over one another. In the end, they’re only left unheard and with more noise than before. Through the song, Ultrabomb addresses this modern-day issue and boldly breaks it apart.
As explained further by bassist Greg Norton, “There is a lot of noise to keep us distracted. Everyone has an opinion, informed, and not informed. I’m at capacity with all the bs, let’s start real conversations.”

About the Band
Ultrabomb is a Minneapolis-based band consisting of Greg Norton (bass, backing vocals), Derek O’Brien (drums, backing vocals), and Ryan Smith (guitar, lead vocals). Although the band debuted in 2022, the trio of musicians became the official lineup just recently.
It’s not the first rodeo for any of the members, though, as all of them were once part of older punk rock bands. The individual love they have for the genre became their shared motivation to pursue this new journey. Moreover, their decades of exposure to punk and alternative rock allowed them to create the sharp, relevant music they now produce.
With the release of their new single, it’s clear that their reign has only just begun. Cut through the noise with “no cap,” out now on all streaming platforms!
