Viva Music Group holds historic record with first two OPM songs to hit 500M streams on Spotify PH.
“Tadhana” by Up Dharma Down and “Multo” by Cup of Joe, first OPM songs to surpass 500 million Spotify Philippines streams. This accomplishment highlights the growing influence of OPM in the digital music landscape. It also solidifies Viva Music Group’s position as a leading force in the industry.

Up Dharma Down’s song “Tadhana” is the first Filipino song to receive this honor. It became the anthem for situationships that are characterized as “almost but never enough” after its release in 2012. Meeting each other is the only thing that seems destined in this setup. They now find themselves in an orbiting phase with no clear intentions of commitment.
Soon after, Cup of Joe’s “Multo” became the second song to reach this streaming milestone. Released in September 2024, it also became the fastest single to do so. This song made listeners across the country relapse into memories of missed chances—with loved ones, personal dreams, and long‑held aspirations.
It continues to resonate with listeners today. The track has also broken the previous record for the longest‑running number‑one song on Spotify Philippines’ daily chart. Additionally, this makes “Multo” the OPM song with the most Spotify streams.
In contrast to the angst‑filled original, Cup of Joe recently released a simplified version of “Multo.” This rendition reflects a sense of acceptance toward an unlucky relationship. The song emphasizes that healing is not continuous and that painful emotions can occasionally return. It is featured on the original soundtrack of the Cornerstone–Viva Films movie The Loved One. The film stars Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales.
With its newest chart-topping musicians, Amiel Sol, Earl Agustin, and Cup of Joe, the label behemoth ruled the charts in 2025. These achievements only serve to highlight how vibrant and well-known original Philippine music is throughout the world.
The Viva Music Group remains at the forefront of the music industry. With its five subsidiaries—Viva Records, Vicor Music, Ivory Music, Wild Dream Records, and NOVWLZ. It has served as a home to talented musicians for many years and continues to shape the landscape of OPM.
