pami channels heartbreak into playful yet biting pop on her new single “cry jar,” her first release since the acclaimed album puffette.

Thai artist pami has returned with “cry jar,” a bold new single that marks her first release since her acclaimed debut album puffette. The track arrives just after her win for Best Hidden Gem of the Year at Thailand’s TOTY Music Awards, adding fresh momentum to an already breakout year.

On the surface, “cry jar” leans into a bright and easy-listening pop sound. At the same time, pami uses that playful energy to deliver lyrics with real bite. Through the idea of an “emotional compensation” jar, she turns heartbreak into something counted, stored, and impossible to ignore. Rather than let pain disappear into the background, she frames every tear as proof that emotional damage adds up.

pami has said she wanted the song to feel more like a dark joke than a heavy confession. As a result,  “cry jar” balances sweetness with sarcasm, creating a track that sounds light while cutting straight to the point. The message is clear: when someone keeps causing pain without remorse, that hurt comes at a cost.

A Rising Thai Pop Voice Builds on Her Momentum

pami wrote  “cry jar” during a songwriting camp in Sydney, Australia, where a new environment sparked fresh ideas and pushed her creativity in a different direction. That setting helped shape the song’s colorful contrast between its upbeat production and its blunt emotional honesty.

Since making her debut in 2024, pami has quickly built a reputation as one of Thailand’s most promising young singer-songwriters. She first drew attention with her EP out of nowhere, which introduced listeners to her warm vocals and pop instincts. Then, in 2025, she expanded her reach with her debut album puffette, bringing her music to a wider and growing audience.

Over the past year, pami has continued to strengthen her presence across Asia. She has performed at major festivals including LaLaLa Festival in Indonesia, BiKN Shibuya in Japan, Zandari Festa in South Korea, and Bangkok Music City in Thailand. With cry jar, she adds another strong chapter to that rise, proving she can turn heartbreak into something clever, catchy, and unforgettable.
