Homebase will release their new EP, Close To Something, on March 21, delivering another shot of high-energy punk charged with emotion and urgency. With this release, the New York/New Jersey band continues to build momentum as one of the most exciting young acts on the local scene.

At the center of the EP is the lyric, “The space between the cracks, was all I ever had,” which captures the tension and vulnerability running through the record. At the same time, Homebase pair that emotional weight with explosive energy. Across the EP, they blend hardcore aggression with pop-punk hooks, creating songs that feel built for packed rooms and shouted choruses.
With Close To Something, Homebase sharpen every part of their sound. The EP hits louder, feels tighter, and lands with even more anthem-ready power. As a result, it strengthens their place among the most promising new bands coming out of the Northeast punk scene. This spring, they will bring that same intensity back to the stage as they continue performing across the region.

About HOMEBASE
Homebase, a heavy pop-punk and hardcore band rooted between New Jersey and New York, has quickly emerged as a rising force in the regional scene since forming in 2023. From the start, the band has focused on making high-energy songs that fans can feel, share, and scream back in a live setting.
Through a relentless DIY approach and explosive performances, they have steadily built momentum across the punk and hardcore community. At the same time, their sound combines the urgency of hardcore with the sharp hooks of melodic punk, giving their music the power to thrive in both cramped basement shows and crowded club rooms.

Their breakout single Bold passed 30,000 streams and introduced the band to a wider audience. It also earned attention from outlets such as The Punk Site, Reckless Press, Blood Makes Noise, Uber Rock, and Music N Gear. In addition, Northern Exposure Magazine praised the group’s “DIY aesthetic, crunching riffs, heartfelt lyrics and relentless energy,” calling them a band to watch.
Musically, Homebase balance melody with force. They bring emotional honesty to their songs while holding onto the hardcore edge that drives their live set. Tracks such as Nuff Said reflect that balance, taking on self-doubt, creative pressure, and the struggle of trying to stand out in a crowded underground scene.
