Sophia Galaté brings her bold, genre-blending debut to life on the For My Own Entertainment, and Yours Too tour, showcasing her vibrant sound and electrifying stage presence.
Sophia Galaté steps into a bold new chapter with her debut album For My Own Entertainment. The project blends nostalgic R&B influences with bright touches of pop and funk. As a result, the record captures a confident and carefree side of the singer. The release also arrives with a pink dreamscape visual that mirrors her vibrant personality and the album’s playful spirit.
On the album, Galaté collaborates with Dende for the soulful duet “Just For A Moment.” Meanwhile, Grammy-winning producers D.K. the Punisher and Akeel Henry shape the project’s lush and expressive sound. Their production brings warmth and groove to each track while allowing Galaté’s vocals to shine. Together, they create a record that feels both reflective and playful.

This album marks a big energetic shift for me – one that’s bolder and more fun,” says Sophia. “I really wanted to showcase my vibrant personality, my humor, yet still express my vulnerability. I feel like this music represents how I truly live my life on my own terms – independent, carefree, and putting myself first. It’s for my own entertainment (and my friends’), and I hope to inspire other people to do the same!
Throughout For My Own Entertainment, each song explores a different emotional tone. The title track celebrates self-expression with infectious energy. In contrast, “Please Don’t Talk to Me” leans into confident boundaries. Meanwhile, “Just For A Moment” offers a softer, more vulnerable side. By blending rich vocals with dynamic grooves and honest storytelling, Galaté expands her sound across R&B, pop, and funk while keeping her emotional depth intact.
Following her tour last year with James Vickery, Galaté now steps forward with her own headline run. The For My Own Entertainment, and Yours Too Tour will bring songs from the new album to the stage, giving audiences a chance to experience this new era live.
