Following her recent singles “Cruel and Unusual Punishment” and “Up the Stairs,” “Unsteady” stands out as a quiet, intimate moment. Built around plucky guitar riffs and Romano’s delicately vulnerable vocals, the track unfolds like a sonic poem. “It’s a song about falling in love and letting yourself do it,” Romano explains.

I’ve learned that love has made me soft and brave and terrified and happy, and so much more myself in ways I never knew before. I wanted to capture that discovery in ‘Unsteady.’’

All About it took me falling

The six-track it took me falling is a snapshot of personal growth, resilience, and the often messy journey of self-discovery. At its core, the EP traces the search for love, connection, or personal ambition, embracing the necessary pain that precedes moments of beauty and clarity. Fans can expect a nuanced blend of misty-eyed ballads and fiery alt-rock anthems that showcase Romano’s versatility as an artist.

Hailing from Mississippi and now based in Nashville, Romano first garnered attention with her 16-track debut album, Oddities and Prodigies (2022), and has since solidified her reputation with critically acclaimed EPs A Brief Epic (2023) and How The Good Girls Die (2025). Media tastemakers such as tmrw Magazine, idobi Radio, Ones To Watch, and EUPHORIA have praised her introspective songwriting and genre-bending sound.

Renowned for her high-energy live performances, Romano has packed venues across Nashville and impressed audiences on tour supporting Grayscale and Smallpools. To celebrate the release of it took me falling, she will headline The End in Nashville on March 13, joined by special guests Valories and Cam Becker. Tickets are available now, promising an intimate evening of storytelling, soaring vocals, and alt-pop magic.

With “Unsteady” setting the tone, it took me falling marks another exciting chapter in Caroline Romano’s ascent, offering listeners both vulnerability and power in equal measure.
