DARK GAMEushers in the next chapter of the band with a daring new sound and arresting images. The three-piece band, consists of Asakura (Vo & Gt), Takachi (Track Make & Dr), and Kenichi (Gt), is based in Fukuoka.

On February 4, they released their new digital single, “DARK GAME.” The launch was accompanied by an eye-catching music video. It draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese folklore concept of Hyakki Yagyō (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons).

The music video set in a city where mythological creatures and people live side by side, features muque alongside Hyakki Yagyō. Ryo Suda, who has previously worked with Yojiro Noda, BAD HOP, and kZm, is the director of ominous, cinematic images.

The band Muque has switched to a three-piece lineup when bassist Lenon left at the end of 2025. “DARK GAME” is their first single under this new lineup – and it signals a clear evolution.

The single instantly defies assumptions of group’s prior sound with its dramatic strings merging with trap-style sounds. With its aggressive, cutting-edge sound design and hip-hop foundation, Takachi enters a new stage of his career as a track producer.

Asakura’s vocals deepen and become more engrossing against this tight, exciting background, drawing listeners into the song’s fantastical setting. The song carries an edge that feels both eerie and cinematic. Its lyrics subtly allude to themes of control, manipulation, and psychological strain.

With its modernized sound and unafraid experimentation, “DARK GAME” heralds the start of a daring new chapter in the band’s history.

Additionally, muque has revealed that their second complete album, GLHF (Good Luck, Have Fun), will be available on April 15. The language used in gaming to wish opponents well before a match starts is referenced in the album title.

The record features ten tracks that highlight the band’s new artistic direction. Among them is “The 1,” the ending theme for the TV anime ONE PIECE. It also includes “Dancing in my bad life (feat. CLAN QUEEN).”

The limited edition first press will include video from their sold-out solo performance, “MUQUE TOUR 2025 ‘RIDE ON!’ @ Zepp Shinjuku.” This special footage gives fans a chance to relive the excitement of the evening.

muque will kick off its muque LIVE TOUR 2026 ‘GLHFin March. The tour includes five performances across Asia—such as in Bangkok and Singapore—and fourteen additional shows throughout Japan. Stay tuned for the announcement of ticket details for the Asia leg!

“DARK GAME” marks only the beginning of muque’s new chapter. This era is defined by a deeper sound, cinematic storytelling, and a growing regional presence.
