The magic of one of the entertainment industry’s biggest icons is going to the big screen with Michael. Another musical biopic from the producer of Bohemian Rhapsody. This is one you want to watch it in the big screen for.
On April 22, moviegoers will get to experience the singer’s iconic eras. Moreover, the film will explore his early days as the lead vocalist of The Jackson 5. Up until his decision to become a solo artist in the 80s and have one of the most legendary runs ever.. The plot synopsis of the film goes as follows:
“MICHAEL is the cinematic portrayal of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known. The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world. Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins.”
Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer), and produced by Graham King (Bohemian Rhapsody). Jaafar Jackson, in his acting debut portrays Michael Jackson; joining him are Colman Domingo and Nia Long as they play Joe and Katherine Jackson, respectively.
Global fan celebration
Last April 10, fans got the chance to meet some of the cast and crew the film. The global fan celebration event took place at in Berlin, Germany. This event is even attended by some of the Jackson family.
