Eun-ho Grants Si-yeol’s Wish in No Tail to Tell Episode 3
No Tail to Tell episode 3 opens with Woo-seok walking away, unwilling to accept any help from Si-yeol. He draws a clear line between them. He was determined not to rely on favors he cannot repay.
Soon after, trouble brews overseas. Thames FC faces expulsion from the championship after authorities uncover accounting fraud. The club forces Si-yeol to remain and play in the second division while blocking any transfer attempts. In response, his agent Yeon-su books a flight to renegotiate directly with the club’s chairman. Although Si-yeol prepares to go, he hesitates. The meeting falls on the anniversary of his grandmother’s death.
No Tail to Tell episode 3 reveals that Woo-seok had cared for Si-yeol’s grandmother and continues to visit her grave every year. Despite their strained relationship, Woo-seok supports Si-yeol’s decision to skip the meeting and pay his respects. The two finally talk honestly.
Woo-seok admits that he refuses help because it would leave him unable to face Si-yeol with pride. At the same time, he worries about how the situation will affect Si-yeol’s career. Their conversation stalls when they once again come across Eun-ho’s business card.
Determined to fix the situation, Si-yeol contacts Eun-ho and asks for a wish. She agrees, naming an exorbitant price. Soon after, she manipulates the chairman of Thames FC into approving Si-yeol’s transfer.
Encouraged by this outcome, Woo-seok finally considers making a wish of his own. However, Eun-ho turns him down, pointing out that he cannot afford her fee. She also refuses to accept a wish made on Woo-seok’s behalf.
Frustrated, Si-yeol mocks her powers and provokes her. Eun-ho takes the bait but makes her intentions clear. She warns him that she will grant the wish on her own terms—and at a cost.
The Switch of Fate
With that, they part ways. Si-yeol heads to London to finalize his transfer, fully aware that whatever Eun-ho has planned may come with consequences.
The episode clarifies the source of the chaos: Eun-ho deliberately switches Woo-seok’s and Si-yeol’s lives. The shift begins the moment CEO Lee Yoon hits Si-yeol instead of Woo-seok. That single change rewrites everything that follows.
Woo-seok quickly connects the dots and embraces his new reality. He adjusts with ease and shows little hesitation in enjoying the success that now comes naturally to him. Si-yeol, however, wakes up disoriented and desperate for answers.
When he turns to Eun-ho, she shuts him down and refuses to explain what she has done. Before he can process the situation, four lower-division football players from this altered reality drag Si-yeol away. They insist he apologize to his coach. Si-yeol had clashed with the coach and lost his place on the team.
Despite the warnings, Si-yeol remains slow to adapt. He clings to his original plans and demands to be taken to London to complete a transfer that no longer exists.

A Dagger That Can Kill Eun-ho in No Tail to Tell Episode 3
Eun-ho reunites with an old client, Chairman Kim. He informs her that a dagger has gone missing from his museum. The weapon turns out to be the Sajin Ritual Blade—one Eun-ho personally forged centuries ago for her friend Geum-ho.
A flashback reveals in No Tail to Tell episode 3 that Lord Pagun warns Eun-ho not to interfere in Geum-ho’s fate. He reminds her that foxes must not lead others into sin. Eun-ho ignores the warning.
She gives Geum-ho the dagger and urges her to stab her husband, explaining that killing a loved one with the blade would turn her back into a fox. Despite her suffering, Geum-ho refuses. She chooses her family and instead wishes that Eun-ho never approach her again.
Back in the present, Eun-ho explains that the blade carries another deadly truth: it can kill a fox as well. As Eun-ho investigates the theft, she questions the museum guards and quickly deduces that the culprit uses divine tricks.
The story then cuts to the thief picking up CEO Lee Yoon following his release from prison. A flashback reveals that the man approached Lee two years earlier, after Eun-ho’s final spell left Lee incapable of lying. As others mock and exploit him, the stranger offers a solution: a protective sigil that shields Lee from Eun-ho’s magic. In exchange, Lee must serve as bait to lure Eun-ho out.
The man’s true identity soon becomes clear—he is a fox hunter.
Refusing to wait for the trap to spring, Eun-ho takes action. She commissions a painting to recreate the hunter’s face, determined to find him before he finds her.
Si-yeol’s New Life
Si-yeol desperately tries to call Woo-seok, but his friend doesn’t answer. Frustrated, he heads to his old apartment, only to find it occupied by a stranger. Confused and unsettled, Si-yeol struggles as both the new tenant and the security guard treat him like an outsider.
Meanwhile, the fox hunter tightens his pursuit. He manipulates the spirit of a starving wild dog and uses Eun-ho’s scent on Lee Yoon to track her movements, leaving no room for error.
Si-yeol’s misfortune continues when the police arrest him for trespassing. At that moment, Eun-ho arrives, commanding the officers to begin tracking the hunter instead. Si-yeol causes a commotion, prompting Eun-ho to take pity on him.
She finally reveals the truth: his life has been switched with Woo-seok’s. Furious, Si-yeol demands answers. Eun-ho brushes it off, explaining that she is punishing him for disrespecting her. She adds that things could revert to their original state if Woo-seok chooses to make the same wish again—but she leaves the question open: will he?
Eun-ho shows Si-yeol a glimpse of the new Woo-seok. He and his father now live in a lavish London apartment, surrounded by prestigious football trophies. Woo-seok also has the freedom to transfer to any team he desires, enjoying the success that Si-yeol once had.
Si-yeol looks shocked and uncertain, while Eun-ho smirks, clearly relishing the tension. She silently wonders whether Si-yeol trusts his friend enough to make the same wish he once did, leaving both him and the audience to ponder the weight of fate.
