Kangin kicked off his 2026 Stunning Together fanmeet tour to roaring cheers at SM North EDSA Sky Dome last Sunday, January 11.
The Manila stop of the Stunning Together fanmeet tour marked the return of Kangin to the Philippines after the Super Show 5 back in 2013. Thanks to CDM Entertainment, the former Super Junior member reunited with ELFs and Camomiles for a night filled with music, stories, and charot.

Kangin’s heartfelt opening for Stunning Together Fanmeet Tour
After his departure from the group and eventual hiatus, it seemed so unlikely for Kangin to perform again. But he did so—starting from his first solo fan meeting in Mexico last year. For this year’s fanmeet tour, he opened it with a heartfelt serenade.
The color blue abounded in the venue as fans proudly wore Super Junior’s signature color. Many also brought their superbong, creating a sea of sapphire blue.
During the introduction, Kangin greeted the fans and expressed how touched—and a little anxious—he felt.
“Sana mawala ang kaba ko sa magaganda ninyong ngiti,” he added warmly.
He made everyone smile when he said his new year officially started that day.

Kangin’s favorites: Filipino food and his fans
The night before the event, Kangin had shared photos of the local food he ate. In the fanmeet, the host asked him which dishes he liked most. The idol was initially speechless, then simply said they’re very nice. He went on to name his top favorites, which included pusit, halo-halo, palabok, and crispy pata. Kangin and the host jokingly asked the audience if anyone had brought any of those dishes.

After some lighthearted conversation, the host asked why the fanmeeting was named Stunning Together. Kangin explained that it was his way of thanking his fans. By meeting each other, he and his fans—especially those who have supported him since day one—brighten one another.
The stunning performances and stan-worthy wit
One of the most exciting segments of the event followed: The Stunning Performance, which featured dance challenges. Fans roared with delight when the first challenge turned out to be the trendy “Soda Pop.” Feeling shy, Kangin requested for time to practice. When the host asked how much time he needed, the ex SuJu member signaled “two”—as in two days—making everyone laugh. Despite this, he practiced briefly and performed on the spot.
After a couple more dances, Kangin grew more confident, especially when the challenge was the Budots dance. The familiar beat brought out the dancer in him, sending fans into squeals of delight.
During a short catch-up segment, Kangin shared that he wanted to express his feelings for the fans through a song he had performed during his Mexico fanmeeting. When he teased the title, the audience jokingly claimed it was “Sorry, Sorry” a.k.a. Super Junior’s representative song. Kangin quickly responded, “No, no, no. Not Sorry, Sorry.”
The audience giggled, then someone further guessed “Lo Siento” which shared the same name as the SuJu trilingual song. However, Kangin was actually going to perform a Korean-Spanish track titled “Mianhae” (Sorry).
The first snow and the downpour of charot
During Kangin’s quick exit to the backstage, a VCR played behind-the-scenes footage from his promotional photo shoots. It also showed a video of him recording himself in an alley after the first snowfall in South Korea—an event considered special and usually shared with someone meaningful.
When the star, returned, he answered more questions from the host. He admitted that he didn’t really like using SNS, but still chose to film himself during the first snow. To make the event more memorable, he teased fans and claimed he brought some snow. Standing with his arm stretched out and palm closed, he suddenly opened his hand and exclaimed, “Charot!”—sending the audience into fits of laughter.
Games and giggles
Kangin encouraged his fans to take photos which led to a charades game. In the first round, the idol had to guess what a chosen fan was acting out. However, the search for a participant turned out to be hilariously chaotic.

The host asked who had traveled the farthest just to attend the fanmeeting. Someone answered Cagayan De Oro City, but others revealed they came from Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Of course, some jokingly claimed they were from Bulacan and Novaliches, Quezon City.
The criteria were then changed to finding the youngest attendee, which led to more jokes about being “young at heart.” Even Kangin had to interrupt and apologize, declaring that everyone—including himself—was young. Eventually, a birthday celebrant was chosen.
The kpop idol struggled to guess the word “orchestra,” so the host asked him to act it out instead. He made the audience laugh as he mimed playing different musical instruments one after another.
In the second round, Kangin became the one acting while chosen audience members guessed the words onstage. One of the words was selca (selfie). After the game, it was announced that all participants would get a chance to take a selfie with him.
Stanning forever: the end of Stunning Together Fanmeet Tour in Manila
Near the end of the event, Kangin sat down to watch a fan-made video welcoming him back and greeting him in advance for his birthday on January 17. In response, he performed “Memory” from the musical “Cats.” Aside from the fans, he also thanked the host and the interpreter.
As the event drew to a close, Kangin once again showcased his vocal prowess with “Love Is Pain.” While he was backstage, fans chanted, cheered, and sang “Happy Birthday” in both English and Korean. The idol returned to the stage to thank everyone once more.
For the festive finale, he performed the much-loved “Pajama Party”. Blue confetti rained down as fans jumped and sang along, while Kangin walked around the venue, singing and handing out roses. Afterwards, all fans lined up for a hi-bye greeting with the star onstage.
A comeback full of smiles, laughter and charot
Through his performances and humor, Kangin succeeded in making his fans smile and laugh in his long-awaited comeback. No charot!
