Fresh off the release of I’m Still Thinking, R&B artist Myles Lloyd is back with a contemplative music video for the song “Voodoo.”

Myles Lloyd returns with a new music video to complement his introspective album, I’m Still Thinking, released last November 21. “Voodoo” is one of the album’s standout tracks, its stripped-back falsetto and irresistible melody doing a good job of representing the album’s overall tone.

I’m Still Thinking is Myles Lloyd’s latest offering. It’s billed as an attempt to capture “the space between holding on and letting go.” It marks a major milestone in the artist’s career as he explores themes of anxiety, love, and loss over thirteen tracks.

“Voodoo” magic

“Voodoo” is the fourth song off the album to get a music video. This follows “Closer,” “Grapevine,” and viral hit “Drive Me Crazy.” Directed by Toronto-based filmmaker Dan LeMoyne, who has previously collaborated with Lloyd on other projects, the visuals suit the contemplative lyrics about wondering whether to take the next step in a relationship.

The video features close-up shots of Lloyd and his lady navigating the space between each other. First in a small room and later out in the city. It closes with a shot of them holding hands on the floor. With Lloyd irresistibly being drawn back to her despite his hesitations about their deepening relationship.

Rising star

I’m Still Thinking is Myles Lloyd’s fourth album, following WHAT MORE CAN I SAY? (2024), Forever, Yours (2022), and Goodbye (2019). A singer-songwriter hailing from Montreal, Lloyd has been steadily building a following through these releases and live performances at Lollapalooza Berlin and Sol Blume. He has been praised by Complex, PAPER, Teen Vogue, and Wonderland Magazine, showing his potential as a new voice on the R&B scene.
