Tears kept falling as Stray Kids received their first Daesang for Album of the Year with their fourth full-length album, KARMA, at the 2025 MAMA Awards.
On November 29, Stray Kids won the Daesang (Grand Prize) for “Album of the Year (VISA Album)” for KARMA during the ceremony held at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium. This marks the group’s first Daesang win at MAMA.

As soon as the winners were announced, the members appeared to be in tears as they took the stage. Leader Bang Chan said, “Ever since we were trainees, we’ve always wanted to stand on the MAMA stage. Watching it on TV, I still can’t believe we’re receiving such a big award, the Daesang.”
He continued, “I want to tell the members that they worked really hard. We’ve been through a lot, but I’m happy that we can comfort and understand each other, share the music and performances we love with so many people around the world, and spread joy and strength.”
All of the members were emotional as they received the award, recalling their hard work and memories from the past eight years. They truly deserve every recognition, and considering how much effort they put in, it’s all worth it. As a “Stay,” I’m proud of these eight amazing artists.

In addition, member Seungmin reflected on the group’s challenging journey, saying, “The path we have walked so far has not been easy. There have been many crossroads. Thanks to the countless choices and considerations we faced along the way, the eight of us are able to be here now.”
He also addressed the recent tragic fire disaster in Hong Kong, saying, “A few days ago, there was a heartbreaking incident here in Hong Kong. I express my deepest condolences to the victims and everyone affected.” He continued, “I hope that Stray Kids’ music and activities can bring even a little strength, comfort, and support. We want to continue to be that kind of group.”

Meanwhile, at the 2025 MAMA Awards, G-Dragon took home Artist of the Year, Rosé and Bruno Mars won Song of the Year for APT., and ENHYPEN received Fans’ Choice Artist of the Year.
