MAMA 2025 Chapter 1 kicked off on November 28, 2025 in Hong Kong with IVE’s triple win, ENHYPEN and Rosé’s Daesangs, and show-stopping performances.
The MAMA 2025 kicked off spectacularly with Chapter 1 at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. The show gave fans a dazzling evening of performances, star-studded moments, and the first set of highly anticipated award announcements. Hosted by Park Bo-gum, the night set the stage for an unforgettable two-day celebration of K-pop and global music.
This year, MAMA is split into two chapters, with Chapter 1 already delivering some of the evening’s biggest surprises. IVE emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners, taking home three awards. This includes Global Trend Song for “REBEL HEART,” Favorite Female Group, and a spot in the Fans’ Choice Top 10. This proves yet again that IVE continues to dominate the charts and hearts of fans worldwide.
Daesang Winners and Fan Favorites
The night’s Daesang (Grand Prize) honors saw ENHYPEN and Rosé & Bruno Mars claim the top prizes. ENHYPEN walked away with Fans’ Choice of the Year. Rosé and Bruno Mars’ collaborative hit “APT.” earned Song of the Year. Moreover, ENHYPEN secured Favorite Global Artist and a spot in the Fans’ Choice Top 10. This makes them one of the evening’s standout acts alongside IVE.
Other notable winners included Super Junior, who were recognized with the Inspiring Achievement Award, and BoyNextDoor, who took home Favorite Male Group. Hearts2Hearts and CORTIS were celebrated as Best New Artists, highlighting the fresh talent making waves in K-pop this year. Fans’ Choice awards for both male and female artists also brought together some of the most beloved names in the industry. This includes Baekhyun, SEVENTEEN, j-hope, IU, aespa, ITZY, and LE SSERAFIM, creating a lineup that fans could only dream of seeing in one night.
Show-Stopping Performances
The MAMA 2025 opened with Park Bo-gum himself delivering a dynamic dance performance with “Ink Becoming Flash,” setting a high-energy tone. Groups like Hearts2Hearts and NCT Wish followed, delivering their hits “Focus” and a MAMA-version of “Color” under the theme “Wish to Hearts.”
Moreover, rising stars TWS and Alpha Drive One brought bold, futuristic energy with “Overdrive” and “Formula.” Babymonster took the stage with the MAMA versions of “We Go Up” and “Drip,” delivering fierce and polished performances that cemented their rising status. BoyNextDoor served up a multi-faceted showcase, combining solos, duets, and group numbers like “If I Say, I Love You” and “Hollywood Action,” giving fans a taste of their theatrical stage presence.
K-pop veterans also shone brightly. Super Junior treated the audience to a medley of classics, including “Mr. Simple,” “Bonamana,” and “Sorry, Sorry,” reminding fans why the group remains legendary after two decades. Meanwhile, IVE performed a stunning set featuring “XOXZ” and their award-winning “Rebel Heart”. Enhypen closed the night with an intense performance of “Bad Desire (With or Without You)”.
