In a soft episode of Dynamite Kiss, Darim is swayed by Jihyeok’s genuine kindness, proving that love is made in the small moments.
After last episode’s big kiss, Dynamite Kiss episode 6 shies away from an explosive fallout, and instead gives us an episode filled with quiet, warm scenes between our leads. Entitled “Swayed, Driven Mad,” episode 6 has Jihyeok beating the red flag allegations and showing true concern for Darim, who cannot deny her own blossoming feelings.

Aftermath of the kiss
Dynamite Kiss episode 6 begins with the kiss from Hayeong and Seonu’s point of view. Hayeong fearlessly confesses to Seonu, despite knowing that he has feelings for Darim. She simply resolves to make him feel the same way. Jihyeok leads Darim away from the scene of the kiss. He brings up a conversation they had in Jeju about the existence of love, trying to comfort her without her knowing why.
Back at the hotel, Seonu tries to ask Darim about her opinion of him, but she misreads it, thinking he’s interested in Hayeong.
When the group returns to Seoul, Jihyeok is torn about telling Darim what he saw. Over lunch, one of the Mother TF members, Jinhui, talks about catching a friend’s husband cheating and similarly wonders whether to tell her friend. The team discusses it with arguments defending both sides, leaving Jihyeok still undecided on what to do.
Mother connection
Jihyeok’s mom, In-ae, meets Darim’s mom, Myungsun, while walking around at the hospital. In-ae is clearly affected by the patients whose loved ones are attentively caring for them. Noticing this, Myungsun goes to share her snacks with In-ae, like a kid in kindergarten. In-ae instantly pulls away, but Myungsun notices In-ae’s scars. She opens up about her own struggles in life, but In-ae shrugs her off.
Hayeong’s parents chastise her for choosing Seonu for the project. When she says Jihyeok chose him, they instantly change their tune and grant their approval, mentioning how Taeyeong (presumably Hayeong’s brother) also speaks highly of Jihyeok’s discerning eye.
Jihyeok’s agony
In an effort to not look too much like a dad, Seonu decides to dress up a bit for work. He meets Hayeong in the office lobby, and she asks him for another photo session after their meeting.
Jihyeok takes Seonu’s new perfume and Hayeong dropping her shoe under the table as signs of cheating. His suspicions are exacerbated by the fact that they leave together after the meeting. He is convinced they’re having a torrid affair, and imagines a scandalous elevator meeting in his head.
Jihyeok confronts Hayeong about the supposed affair, clearly remembering how infidelity broke apart his own family. Hayeong, bound by her promise to Seonu to not tell anyone, struggles to defend her actions. She asks Jihyeok why he suddenly cares about this, and he says it’s because she’s his responsibility as a team leader.
A green future, together
Jihyeok notices that Darim is having some trouble due to stress-induced gastritis. He buys her comfort food, pretending to be allergic to abalone and saying that ginger tea is half off. It is revealed that Darim kept the four leaf clover. She gives it back to Jihyeok before the presentation for luck.
Jihyeok gives a moving presentation that features each member of the Mother TF team expressing the earnest hopes as parents for their children to live in a better world.
Swayed
The team goes out to dinner to celebrate, proud to have won over the marketing team with just their skills. As Jihyeok eats abalone risotto, Darim realizes that he had been intentionally taking care of her this whole time.
After the others go home, a drunk Darim tells Jihyeok that her heart feels swayed by his niceness. She says she’ll stop feeling swayed from now on, since she knows he’s only nice to her as her team leader. Though it seems like Darim is leaning in for a kiss, she falls asleep on Jihyeok instead and he doesn’t get the chance to say anything. The clover is back on his phone.
Trouble afoot
Someone from the marketing team saw Jihyeok and Darim together. Mr. Ma reports this to Director Gong, which puts them on the lookout for more evidence of this “scandal.”
Hayeong convinces Seonu to take more pictures of her. Though they have moments of closeness, Seonu is still too focused on Darim to reciprocate Hayeong’s feelings.
True leadership
Despite their hangovers, the Mother TF team starts mapping out how to execute their tree planting project. Halfway through the meeting, Darim remembers slivers of what happened the night before. She drums up the courage to ask Jihyeok about it. Jihyeok lies and says he doesn’t remember anything either.
Jihyeok helps Darim write the press release after work, but her gastritis acts up. He rushes her to the hospital despite her protests. Seonu calls her phone but Jihyeok rejects the call, knowing that he wants to be the only one by her side.
Dynamite Kiss Episode 6 Thoughts and What to Expect Next
This is such a soft episode, from the Mother TF team’s slogans that make it seem like they’re talking to their children, to Jihyeok’s small loving actions, like instinctively blocking the table corner so Darim won’t hurt her head. It’s a much quieter episode than the ones before it, but Dynamite Kiss feels due for one as it nears the halfway point.
Special mention goes to Ahn Eunjin in the drunk scene. Her facial expressions were so genuine and cute. She’s such a natural actress. Also, it was absolutely crazy of Jihye to think that she can make a luxury baby products brand. That pitch was cooked from the start.
It looks like things are taking a turn towards angst in the next episode, as Jihyeok seems to be owning up to his feelings for Darim, putting him head to head with Seonu. They also seem to be lost in a forest for some reason, a great place for drama and perhaps another kiss?
