Project Y is the next crime thriller to grace our screens before the year ends. With Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo as the leads and a gripping premise, this film is your next must-watch!
Project Y centers on two women pushed to the edge, forced to risk it all in a daring heist. Since its first announcement in 2024, the film has continued to stir excitement among the public. Fueling the anticipation are none other than Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo — two of South Korea’s most celebrated talents.

Known for his gritty and honest social commentaries, Director Lee Hwan (Young Adult Matters, Park Hwa-young) took the film’s reins. If you mix his creative mind with Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo, Project Y becomes the perfect title to deliver both thrill and emotion beyond the screens.
Project Y made its international premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival last September 10, 2025. It was selected for the Special Presentations program alongside other much-awaited titles worldwide. More special screenings were held at Busan and Hawaii for their respective film festivals.
Recently, the film received the prestigious Best Film in Competition Award at the 10th London East Asia Film Festival, where it competed against 45 films from Asia. These milestones underscore the film’s exceptional status and impact, both domestically and internationally, even before its theatrical release.
