Explosive casting

Jang Kiyong returns to the small screen after 2024’s Atypical Family with his role as Kong Jihyeok, a team leader at a company that manufactures baby products. Jihyeok asks an unsuspecting girl to pretend to be his girlfriend for a night. The two of them end up sharing a magical kiss, only for him to find out that she has a husband and son.

After her turn on Netflix’s Genie, Make a Wish, Ahn Eunjin steps into the female lead role as Go Darim, an unemployed single girl down on her luck. Darim pretends to be married with a child a la Spy x Family, all so she can get a job. This lands her at a company called “Natural Bebe,” working on the Mother TF team led by none other than Jihyeok.

Rounding out the cast are SBS drama first timers, Kim Mujun and Woo Davi. Kim Mujun plays Darim’s close friend and “husband” Kim Seonwoo, a single father with a passion for photography, while Woo Davi plays Yoo Hayoung, an assistant curator at an art hall who takes an interest in Seonwoo.

Weekday wonder

Dynamite Kiss will air on SBS on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting November 12, filling the station’s weekday timeslot for the first time since Secret Boutique ended in 2019. Its 14-episode run will bring it all the way to Christmas, though as holiday broadcasts usually give way to the annual SBS Gayo Daejun, the last two episodes are likely to air the following week.

For international viewers, Dynamite Kiss will be released simultaneously on Netflix, with the first episode available to watch on November 12.
