Taiwanese band MoonD’shake releases their new album, Paradise Tea, which brings dream pop with retro electronic vibes to create a tropical island soundscape.
MoonD’shake, a Taiwanese band, returns after their two-year hiatus with their new album, Paradise Tea. The album, which draws inspiration from “Paradise Tea 天堂茶” cigarettes, is an aromatic voyage through reality and dream. Together with Green!Eyes, i’mdifficult (我是機車少女), and It’s Your Fault (問題總部).

The band creates Paradise Tea’s dreamscape. They blend dream pop and techno, crafting a lush, tropical sound that feels like an island escape.
Like the two sides of a vinyl record, Paradise Tea’s eleven tracks are divided onto two disks. The album’s first part combines fantasy and nostalgia in a “retro-future” style. Sharp rhythms and bright colors make “We are beautiful,” “floating in this universe,” “New Dose,” “Amardolem,” “Wednesday,” and “Honeymoon” feel like island-hopping.
The second part of Paradise Tea shifts into a more subdued and personal setting. The songs “Lovable,” “Pillow,” “History,” “Common Sky,” and “Departure” shift in tone. They express deep emotions through muted, monotonous colors, evoking the quiet mystery of the moon’s dark side.
MoonD’shake is a Taipei indie-pop band. Members are Kuo-yen Huang (國晏), Lynn Hsu (家菱), and Zi En (子恩). Their 2020 debut EP Morning Body blends dreamy vocals, retro textures, and experimental arrangements into a passionate, enthralling dream pop experience. The soft, dreamy sounds on their 2023 debut album, EGG SALA, evoke nostalgia. Paradise Tea continues MoonD’shake’s sonic exploration, blending excitement and lightness to capture the dreamy feeling of falling in love.
