Zomvivor drops its seven episodes in one go, making it the perfect thrill-filled watch this November. Episode 1 kicks off the series’ momentum with a strong bite.
Zomvivor episode 1 premiered on October 31, 2025, on Netflix. Episode 1, titled “Lost Connections,” sets the stage for the zombie outbreak at Kiatpipat University. While the cause of the infection remains unclear, the students are forced to run for their lives and come up with an escape plan to avoid getting bitten.
Phu, one of the students, takes charge and instructs his classmates to head for the library, believing it to be a safe place. However, the group still needs a solid plan to distract the zombies before making their move.

Running Away from Zombies in Zomvivor Episode 1
Episode 1 opens with Kiatpipat University already overrun by students who have turned into zombies. Inside the Faculty of Communication Arts, a group of students—San, Non, Thorn, Thi, Prao, Lily, Kawin, and Fah—run for their lives as the undead close in. In the chaos, San experiences brief, blurry flashbacks that cause him to freeze mid-fight.
Meanwhile, over at the Faculty of Science, another group—Jean, Ning, Night, Phu, Pao, and others—takes shelter inside a laboratory, desperately trying to avoid the ravenous zombies. Ning manages to contact Professor Wiroj to ask about her brother Non and her mother’s safety. The professor advises her to reach out to Non and stay safe. With no other choice, the group decides to escape through the lab window.
At the same time, Non and his friends are hiding behind a classroom wall. From their position, Thi spots Ning’s group across the building. Phu, one of Ning’s groupmates, instructs everyone to head toward the library, claiming it’s the safest place on campus. Although San is reluctant, the group ultimately decides to follow Phu’s plan.

Flashbacks from Six Months Ago
The scene shifted, showing a brief flashback of the students’ lives six months ago. It started with Non’s group, who were filming for their subject’s requirement. It also showed San talking to Thorn about some stuff. Then there’s Ning, having a conversation with Prof. Wiroj about her mother.
The professor proposed to have her mother in a research experiment. Ning hesitated, saying she couldn’t let her mother become a lab rat. But the professor insisted that this could be the way her mother could finally get cured.
Ning came to her friends, telling them what she had talked about with the professor. She was worried that if the research failed, she’d be the reason for her mother’s death. Then Ning met up with her boyfriend, San, and went home.
But the scene again focused on Prof. Wiroj talking to someone—and it sounded so fishy and a little bit dishonest.
Running Towards the Library
The groups of Non and Ning planned how they would be able to go to the library without the zombies running after them. In Non’s group, they decided to distract the zombies with loud noise from a speaker. But the problem was—who would put the speaker in the middle of the place to attract them?
Prao, one of the girls, volunteered (that’s girl power right there). When she placed the speaker in the right spot, Kawin played the music, attracting the zombies. Then their group started to run toward the library.
Meanwhile, Ning’s group quietly walked toward the library to avoid getting the zombies’ attention. However, the group divided themselves into three to avoid being overcrowded.
As they were walking, Pao and Nan (the girl with a foot sprain) were followed by a zombie. Although Pao tried to carry Nan, the zombie still caught them. In the blink of an eye, Nan got bitten by the zombie. Night and Jean had to drag Pao away to prevent him from getting bitten as well.

Non and Ning’s Group in Zomvivor Episode 1
When Non and Ning finally saw each other, their respective groups arrived at the library together. The boys stacked up some chairs to prevent zombies from coming in. However, San questioned Phu about why he thought the library was safe. Phu replied with his plan, saying that if the zombies got in, they had another escape route.
Moreover, the group couldn’t find any signal. But Night found a radio where the authorities were telling survivors to go to higher ground. That way, the military would be able to see them once the safety operation commenced.
Ning immediately decided to let everyone know by announcing it through the PR room. However, San disagreed, saying it would only cause more trouble. Yet still, Ning proceeded to do so.
Prao subtly said that they must be prepared to die because this is exactly how people in zombie series die—when someone tries to act like a hero. Ning announced the information they got, such as the time and place the survivors should be. Other groups heard Ning’s announcement.
Zomvivor Episode 1 Review
Episode 1 of the series is exactly what we need to get that edge-of-the-seat feeling. Waiting for almost two years for this series definitely paid off. The actors, the cinematography, and even the zombies were all delivered perfectly.
So far, the character that stood out to me the most is Jean, one of Ning’s friends. He was always ready to speak up and stand for what he thought was right. Of course, Prao—the girl who volunteered to put the speaker—that’s a real badass move.
