Junik’s letter to Munju
Now that Sanho and Munju have reunited, they share a heartfelt conversation with one another. With no more secrets between them, they now share an even stronger bond and a deeper appreciation for each other. In Sanho’s words, “Even the light looked different” on Munju.

As they come to accept each other’s feelings, Munju recalls her last moment with Junik, where he whispered something to her as he took his last breath. Munju realized Junik whispered, “Our peaches.” Previously, Munju mentioned that she used to call her baby “peach,” as it was something she often craved during her pregnancy.
She decides to visit the temple, which only she and Junik knew, where their unborn child was laid to rest, maybe to have closure. As she entered the temple, a monk gave her the key to her child’s urn. As Munju opened the urn, she noticed a small envelope attached to the lid.

Munju opens the envelope and sees a flash drive and a letter Junik wrote for her. In this letter, Junik confessed that he had a son. He also wrote his plan to reveal everything about Okseon and the submarine to the public. Thereafter, he plans to resign and withdraw from the election. Junik kept the flash drive with all the evidence because, like Munju, he wanted to end the war.
Junsang returns
When Okseon sent Junsang away to Germany upon Munju’s request, his last words before he left were that he will not return empty-handed. Now, he is back in South Korea. Will he bring any good? No one knows, but he certainly has something up his sleeve.

Meanwhile, Okseon poisons Dujin to death and goes to visit the NIS to meet with Unhak. When shown the photo of Dujin, she acts shocked and feigns ignorance. Unhak, however, sees through her facade. Unhak suspects that it was Okseon, not Junik, who was communicating with North Korea.
Thinking he had the upperhand, Unhak blackmails Okseon into helping the NIS to eliminate North Korean leader Kim Hansang. They will ensure that Okseon becomes a hero in return. But Okseon, refusing to feel threatened, shows no reaction and demands the NIS arrest Munju first before asking her for help.
On their way home, Junsang asks Okseon if it was she who made the call to North Korea and if she killed Junik. Okseon simply answers that her only son is Junsang.
Friend or foe?
At the underground tunnel, Munju and the team organize a meeting with Anderson and the lawyer from Argentina to corroborate the data they have each gathered. After the discussion, Munju decides it would be best to notify President Kyungsin about everything, as she is in a position of power to prevent the war.
The scene transitions to the office of the president. With Unhak in front of her, President Kyungsin reveals she ordered a new investigation to re-examine the evidence regarding the murder of Junik. She suspects that someone has been orchestrating everything to frame Munju. Evidently, Unhak is displeased with her decision.
Miji gets kidnapped
Earlier in the episode, Okseon found that Eunseong went missing. Convinced Munju is to blame, she orders Miji to be hit by a car and kidnapped on the way to meet with Changhee.

Munju, realizing it could only be her mother-in-law’s doing, calls Okseon. The latter threatens her that Miji is in a critical condition, and if she does not return Eunseong, she will make sure Miji won’t survive.
Munju hurriedly packs Eunseong’s things and tells Hanna about Okseon’s demand and advises her to escape. Before they left, Hanna admitted that the cross necklace she had was a replica because she was jealous of Munju and that Junik never loved her. For Junik, it was always Munju.
Munju confronts Okseon alone
While Sanho sends Hanna and Eunseong off, Munju receives a call from Anderson saying that Idisha is making a series of large transfers to Aseom Shipping, the company owned by Okseon. It seems the King of Idisha plans to make the first attack on the United States through the nuclear submarine that Okseon created.

As they continue to run out of options, Munju decides to go to Okseon alone. The episode ends with her joining Okseon and Junsang on the helicopter to follow the submarine.
