Plengpin and Jew as the Remaining Competitors in Enigma Black Stage Episode 4
Enigma Black Stage episode 4 opened with a brief flashback of a man and a child. Their identities weren’t clear until the scene switched back to Plengpin’s victory in the competition.
It wasn’t exactly fair—because in the previous episode, Ray had been threatened by Ajin to let Plengpin advance to the second round. Otherwise, Anya’s dead body would be revealed. With that, Myday was eliminated, leaving Jew as Plengpin’s opponent.
However, Myday wasn’t happy with the results. She accused Jew of cheating, though honestly, it seemed like all of them cheated. When Myday tried to walk away, Jew kept mocking her. Furious, Myday snapped, grabbed a flatiron, and burned Jew’s face. With a snap of Madam Kosum’s finger, both Myday and Jew were transported into her space.
Myday apologized, and Jew begged for another chance. Madam Kosum, enraged by Myday’s actions, punished her by transferring Jew’s disfigured face onto her. With that, the competition between Plengpin and Jew pressed on.

What Really Happened in Ajin’s Past?
In the middle of a conversation, Ajin praised Plengpin for doing well in the competition. This prompted Plengpin to ask about his past, almost like she was interviewing him.
Ajin then revealed the truth about his history. His father was a scientist, alongside his aunt—Madam Kosum—and other researchers. They studied artifacts from across Thailand.
His father introduced him to the Leklai stone, asking Ajin to keep it secret. Ajin also reminisced about his relationship with Madam Kosum, describing her as smart, kind, and dedicated. But things changed when she became obsessed with magic after gaining permission to study the Bu-nga Muen Phamorn dress.
Her obsession drove her to kill her colleagues—including Ajin’s father. If it weren’t for the Leklai stone, Ajin believed he would have been killed too.

The Final Round of the Competition
As the final round began, Ajin and Plengpin faced their toughest challenge yet. The last task involved Bu-nga drinking the Nivarana Marana potion, sending her spirit into a dangerous realm to save the king’s soul.
During the performance, Madam Kosum interfered with Plengpin’s act. But Ajin refused to let her fight alone—using the magic of mind swap, he took Plengpin’s place in Madam Kosum’s realm.
The showdown between Ajin and Madam Kosum was heart-stopping. As Jew delivered a flawless performance aided by Kosum’s dark magic, Plengpin struggled. Kosum even used Ajin’s father against him, distracting him long enough for her to gain control over Plengpin.
Who Won the Final Round?
Jew executed the performance perfectly, but Plengpin refused to give up. Instead of following the novel’s ending, she changed the narrative: instead of saving the king’s soul, she killed it—before killing herself. Her emotional performance even moved Ray to tears.
Afterward, the results were revealed: Jew’s candle had gone out, while Plengpin’s remained lit, making her the winner. Furious, Madam Kosum tried to save herself, but Ajin ultimately killed her.
As the episode closed, Ajin and Plengpin discussed what comes next after her victory. But just before the credits rolled, Jew attempted to kidnap Plengpin, setting up the final showdown.
